Metrics
- Description
-
A metric is a numerical measurement of a runtime characteristic at a point in time, such as CPU or memory consumption, bandwidth usage, or EPS (Events Per Second). It is a type of telemetry data that helps IT and SOC analysts monitor system performance, detect anomalies, and assess the overall health and security posture of their infrastructure in real time.
NXLog Agent provides specialized modules for collecting and forwarding metrics, including the OpenTelemetry Exporter and Prometheus output modules. Additionally, it can integrate with third-party observability platforms to convert events into metrics, enabling you to monitor your infrastructure in real time.
