Widgets store

The Widgets store provides a choice of controls, tools, and charts to use when building custom Dashboards. This page lists the available widgets and a description of each.

Controls

Quick search and filters

Allow users to search and filter data from a list of saved searches and filters.

Search and filters

Add full search and filtering capability, including options to load existing and create new saved searches and filters. You can only add this control once per dashboard.

Tools

Search in Log Search

Add a control to search the log database and display the results on the Log discovery page. You can only add this control once per dashboard.

Visualization

Counter

Display an aggregated metric. The available metrics are:

Distinct values
Events per second
Log entries ingested
Logs number
Logs space
Peak EPS ingested
Queries handled

Different metrics may have further configuration options.

Memory status

Add a gauge and metrics showing the available and used data storage space.

You can only add this control once per dashboard.

Pie chart

Add a pie chart showing percentages for a specific log field.

The fields available depend on your log data but also include core and standard fields.

NXLog Platform database health status widget

Storage health status

Display a log database health indicator that allows you to monitor whether the database is in a warning or error state.

You can only add this control once per dashboard.

NXLog Platform data retention status widget

Storage retention status

Display a data retention indicator based on the current log ingestion trend, allowing you to manage your log storage proactively.

You can only add this control once per dashboard.

Sunburst

Add an interactive sunburst chart showing aggregated log data on two hierarchical levels. The inner nodes are an aggregation of the parent field, and the outer nodes are an aggregation of the second-level field.

You can choose the parent and child fields to plot and the value limit. The fields available depend on your log data but also include core and standard fields.

Timeline

Display data over time with a timeline chart. The available metrics are:

Distinct values
Events per second
Log entries ingested
Logs number
Logs space
Peak EPS ingested
Queries handled

You can choose between a line or a column chart. Different metrics may have further configuration options.

Top N values

Show the most popular values for a specific field. The fields available depend on your log data but also include core and standard fields. You can specify the number of values to display and choose between a list or a column chart.

Treemap

Add a simple treemap comparing values for a specific log field. The node sizes reflect the value difference. Users can hover each node to see the actual values. The fields available depend on your log data but also include core and standard fields.
