Software Requirements

Supported Browsers

NXLog Manager supports the following browsers:

  • Mozilla Firefox version 63 or higher.

  • Google Chrome version 70 or higher.

Software Prerequisites

  • Java: OpenJDK 1.7 or 1.8

  • Preinstalled database backend: either MySQL or MariaDB

  • Preinstalled NXLog agent is needed to verify statements of the configured agent instances, see the Expert tab description in the NXLog Manager User Guide

MySQL 8 is not supported.

Hardware Requirements

The table below provides information that can be useful while NXLog Manager installation planning. Actual system requirements vary based on the number of agents to manage; therefore, both minimum and recommended requirements are listed. Always thoroughly test the deployment to verify that the desired performance can be achieved with the system resources available.

Memory/RAM

2048 MB

4096 MB

1024 MB

The NXLog Manager memory/RAM requirement increases by 2 MB for each managed agent. For example, if an NXLog Manager instance monitors 100 agents, the recommended memory/RAM requirement is 4,296 MB.

These requirements are in addition to the operating system’s requirements, which should be combined cumulatively with the NXLog Enterprise Edition’s System requirements for systems running both NXLog Enterprise Edition and NXLog Manager.
